Their team supports a range of industries through targeted SEO strategies, content development, and comprehensive digital marketing campaigns. They are seeking an experienced SEO Specialist to work on both one-time projects and ongoing SEO efforts for existing clients, ensuring their websites rank higher, attract the right audiences, and convert effectively.
Position Overview:
As an SEO Specialist, you will play a critical role in optimizing client websites, performing in-depth keyword research, on-page and off-page SEO, technical optimization, and content recommendations. You will manage one-time SEO projects as well as continuous SEO efforts for a portfolio of clients, tracking progress, adapting strategies as needed, and delivering clear, actionable reports.
Responsibilities:
- Keyword Research & Strategy: Conduct comprehensive keyword research to inform content strategy and identify opportunities for increased visibility.
- On-Page Optimization: Optimize web pages, including meta titles, descriptions, headers, and content, to ensure they are SEO-friendly and target the right keywords.
- Off-Page SEO: Implement link-building strategies and maintain relationships with external websites to enhance domain authority and page rank.
- Technical SEO: Conduct technical site audits, addressing crawlability, user experience, and ranking potential, and create a roadmap for ongoing optimization.
- SEO Setup for New Clients: Conduct client kickoff meetings to align on goals, target audiences, primary services/products, competitors, KPIs, and SEO objectives. Perform keyword research to identify high-impact search terms relevant to each client’s industry and objectives.
- SEO strategies: Develop and execute monthly strategies to drive organic traffic growth, enhance user engagement, and improve search rankings.
- Content Recommendations: Work with account strategists to develop high-quality, keyword-optimized content that aligns with client goals.
- Analytics & Reporting: Use SEO tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.) to analyze performance, track KPIs, and create detailed monthly reports for clients with clear insights and recommendations.
- Competitive Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activity to keep clients ahead in their respective industries.
- Manage larger-scale SEO projects: Write web copy when needed, optimize copy provided by clients, create targeted metadata, and enhance internal linking for comprehensive SEO coverage.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an SEO Specialist or similar role (2+ years preferred)
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, Google algorithms, and ranking factors
- Proficiency with SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog
- Ability to analyze data and deliver insights to inform strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and reporting
- Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify) is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Preferred Skills:
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
- Familiarity with paid search and SEM as it relates to SEO
- Knowledge of local SEO strategies and best practices for businesses targeting specific geographic areas
